Commissioners Approve Plans for Majestic Las Vegas at 305 Convention Center Drive

The new $850 million, 720 room non-gaming hotel, Majestic Las Vegas has been approved by Clark County commissioners, according the the Review Journal. Expected to break ground in about a year and to be finished early 2023, the 6-acre project will be located at the former location of the Clarion – 305 Convention Center Drive. The owner’s plan is to build a large 5-star resort that will appeal to those who come to Las Vegas for reasons other than gaming, such as those who are in town for business.

305 Convention Center Drive has a very storied past, as it has gone by names such as the Paddlewheel, the Debbie Reynolds and the Greek Isles, and was even owned by the World Wrestling Federation for a time in the late 90’s who had plans of making it into a wrestling themed resort.
